4 Ministers not moving into government residences

Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh, Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Rana Deuba, Labor Minister Saratsingh Bhandari and Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka will stay in their private residences.

There is a provision that ministers who do not use government residences will get 40,000 rupees per month for house rent and will also get separate facility for maintenance of residences.

Energy Minister Khadka’s aide Sevak Pokharel said that he will not ask for money from the government for house rent. “We will not submit a bill for the rent,” Pokharel. Khadka has been living in his own residence at Budanilkanth. Urban Vikammantri Singh has his own residence in Thamel Chaksibari. Foreign Minister Deuba Budhanilkanth and Labor Minister Bhandari live in a private residence in Bhainsepati. Ministers have started living in the new residence being built in Bhainsepati.
